My older sister and I…. mmmm we have an exact hobby. We love shopping! It’s nothing new, sisters, shopping, Europe, go figure…..Well, this trip was long overdue after our previous trip in Europe in 2016.
We started our trip in London, the UK, followed by Paris, France and ended in Manchester.
London….the thing about London is the weather. When I arrived that morning in August, (which technically consider as summer) I felt a slight chill. But as the day went by, the lovely sun graciously accompanied both of us as we explored the city. I love shopping in London. For the meantime London is my fave shopping place; Church’s shoes, Barker, Russel & Bromley, Jack Willis, Hackett (to name a few brands I fancy)…. Yes, I like the good tailor custom fit masculine preppy style! Blazer, I am a sucker for it.
“I am sooooo sleepy,” I told my sister as we waited for our plane to board to Paris from London Heathrow. We barely slept the prior night, arrived at the hotel almost midnight and were up by 4 am to catch 7 am flight. Aside from being sleepy, I was hungry. That combination was a disaster. Luckily Heathrow is full of “so-so” decent restaurant that willingly provided us with a not so healthy breakfast and coffee.

Paris….Voila
Paris….. voila… arrived at L’Hotel Du Collectionneur – Arc de Triomphe, very nice hotel. Thanks to my Expedia membership we got upgraded to the best room in the hotel! All the stars were aligned :). I recommend this hotel if you are the first timer in Paris and want to stay in the Champs Elysees area.

Shopping…,,
The day was non stop- beautiful buildings, beautiful views, beautiful weather and gorgeous people… Paris, a very trendy city indeed!
As tourists, we visited the Eifel tower, Louvre Museum, Royal Palace, Notre Dame, Left Bank area, Marais district, and the shopping haven Galleries Lafayette. There is Rue Saint Honore, this street consists of many boutiques. Name whatever brands you like and you will find it there. (Luxury, Local- the all blended in) This is the place for shopping!😘😱
We also had a chance to stop by at L’aparge, one of the Michelin stars restaurants in Paris. Expensive-yes! Delicious-yes! Worthy- absolutely! However, I have one tip, it took us 2.5 hrs to get a full lunch – so make plans for the extra time. Wow! Parisians do take their time to eat.
One day of that week the weather reflected my feelings- a little cloudy, drizzle with rain and light grey.
However, the day knew how to bribe me. I stumbled into the Shakespeare and Company store while I was visiting Notre Dame Cathedral. Books, new books, old books the smell….oh my, Paris!

Sisters
Our last stop was Manchester, UK. It is a much smaller city compared to Paris. It is totally different and has its’ own charms. I enjoyed the afternoon tea in Richmond Teahouse, it had the setting of Alice in Wonderland. The Brits really know how to decorate the tea room. We also visited the famous Manchester United stadium and got the chance to see all the great memorabilia of MU.
Time passed by, it was time for us to leave after 2 days in Manchester…. we parted and said our goodbyes. I love my sister and I know she loves me too…until the next journey… Au Revoir 😘
